How much battery degradation is normal for a Tesla Model 3?
In aggregated owner data the nickel Model 3 (Long Range and Performance) averages around 88% capacity at 100,000 miles, while LFP Standard Range cars sit closer to 92%. Most of the loss happens in the first 25,000 miles, after which the curve flattens.
Does my Model 3 have an LFP or a nickel battery?
Standard Range / RWD cars from 2020 onward — and the 2024 Highland RWD — use LFP. Long Range and Performance trims use nickel cells (mostly NCA, with some LG NMC). LFP can be charged to 100% daily; nickel packs are happiest at 80–90%.
What is the usable battery capacity of a Model 3?
